About this event
Our day on the river will start from Queenborough (time to be confirmed but likely to be 6am), where we will board a new to us and very spacious boat and set sail to photograph the Thames Forts in the early morning light. We then sail back up the Thames to witness the spectacle of the Thames Sailing Barges as the race under full sail against each other down the river to Southend. So many great photo opportunities at close quarters will be on offer throughout the day as we sail amongst the competitors to capture images otherwise not possible from the waters edge.Anyone who has sailed with us before will know we always get close to the action with our very experienced skipper, Richard in charge of our 'photo boats'. He has recently acquired a new boat which is a roomy vessel (capable of holding up to 250 passengers) with plenty of covered inside space, two outdoor spaces (one of which is elevated) and seating areas, useful for storing our equipment and of course us if the weather turns.
Start & finish point for this trip will be at Queenborough harbour and will see us out for around 9 hours returning circa 4pm. We have 50 places available for this trip, and on a boat that holds 250 there will be a huge amount of space on board.
Please note as this is a race out on the water weather conditions can effect racing but we will always do our utmost to provide an excellent trip.
